During the video shoot for his single "Hold Up," J. Futuristic (aka J Money) was shot six times in June of 2012. Born Eddie Miller, the southern rapper claims over a hundred gunshots were fired, and the Atlanta Police Department speculates it was a gang-related incident involving the Raised on Cleveland set. Futuristic suffered gunshot wounds to his back, leg, arm, ankle and calf, of which shattered his shin. While declining to speak with police following the attack, he later told MTV, "I thank God I'm still alive. Still made it through the storm."
