Acclaimed hip-hop scribe dream hampton has taken to her personal Tumblr to air out her frustrations with the hip-hop culture. This comes after she was involved in the discussion over Nas allegedly using ghostwriters for his Untitled album.
Hampton explained that she's unmoved by the misogynist threats she's received since then. She also stated that she is done with hip-hop. You can read her post below.
I'm unmoved by the misogynist threats I'm receiving in open forums (last night Just Blaze tweeted I should be "bled out"). But I am done. I may not be done talking about this (unsubscribe to my feed, I will block as I see fit), but I am done with hip hop and men who collude to silence women. And done with women who are happy they're not me. Don't worry. You could never be.
The situation she's referring to with Just Blaze allegedly took place last night, when he tweeted out the following:
You give us up one more time.. I'll bleed you...real quiet..and leave ya here.
He has since made it clear that the above tweet wasn't about hampton while also explaining how he feels about everything that's taken place:
