Jay-Z and Nas’ rivalry was well-documented in hip-hop history. Some of their best diss tracks such as Jay’s “Takeover” and Nas' “Ether” brought an energy that can’t be matched on other records. But things almost got even more heated during Hot 97’s Summer Jam in 2002.

Now this didn’t go down as planned, but Nas was plotting something crazy. The Queensbridge legend was going to hang a lifelike Jay-Z made out of silicone in front of thousands of fans. The Hov replica was complete with mechanical movement and has a striking resemblance to the Brooklyn rapper. The whole spectacle was canceled, but watch the video above to see what Nas had in store.
