Phlo Finister is not new to the game. On her 20th birthday, she was in London rubbing shoulders with Britain’s elite at Dolce and Gabbana fashion shows and hitting up the town with her best friend, the British-socialite, Peaches Geldolf. But the Oakland-born singer has more to offer than a solid list of A-list friends who she met while growing up in Los Angeles.
Born Elijah Finister, she spent the last five years modeling and styling for Def Jam artists. However, the 20-year-old L.A.-based stylist-turned-songstress also released her second mixtape, Crown Gold, last November. And her video for “Bang Bang,” a cover of Nancy Sinatra’s original over Mobb Deep’s “Shook Ones Pt. 2” dropped in late October, putting her mod look and cooing voice all over the Internet.
Intrigued, we reached out to the young ‘Youthquaker” to find out Who Is Phlo Finister? She told us about growing up going to Crenshaw, reading Machiavelli, and drawing inspiration from glamor girls like Andy Warhol’s muse Edie Sedgwick.

She writes and has vision and an opinion. She explores and doesn't settle for the short cut.. I appreciate that and look forward to her vision becoming global.

She is feeling herself too much... name dropping like shit. I can't take her music seriously, it seems like she's more concerned with being a pretty LA socialite than an artist. "I read Machiavelli" LOL
