From being shelved to label protests, Lasers has been a roller coaster ride that finally ends on March 8, 2011. Lupe told Details about a song titled "Beautiful Lasers," which touches on his suicidal thoughts during the "painful, dark, fucked-up process" of making the album. "If you feel like you don't want to be alive, you feel just like I am," he raps. was a "was a very painful, dark, fucked-up process."
