There are plenty of songs about how terrible it feels when you can't trust anyone, but "Burn Bridges" doesn't bask in self-pity. The standout from Dom's debut EP, Sun Bronzed Greek Gods, makes self-induced isolation feel like a celebration, and gets the edge over bangers like "Living In America" and "Jesus." The Worcester, Massachusetts native tells us "people you love will never love you enough," but he's not bitching about it. Backstabbers are inevitable; "forgive 'em and forget 'em" is the motto. Getting over fake friends is even easier when the song that tells you how to sounds like a beautiful, aquatic adventureland. The next time you need to "burn bridges and make yourself an island," this is the anthem.
