Is the "Over" beat...over? Eminem absolutely destroyed the track earlier this week on his "Despicable" freestyle, making him the latest—and possibly the greatest?—rapper to add his bars to the bangin' Boi-1da/Al Khaaliq beat.
After the song premiered on March 4, a who's-who of hip-hop has been steadily adding their own verses to the beat, starting with young Diggy Simmons, who managed to release his "Over" freestyle literally the morning after the song leaked. Since then, everyone from Jim Jones to Shyne has laid bars on the beat, but Eminem's latest take feels like the final word. Are we just caught up in the Recovery hype? Damn, its a shame got 2 give it 2 Eminem. Lol, real talk. It's a shame, where's the hunger. You can tell a lot of these new dudes are casual with it, like the game owes them. Get your bars up, remeber this is Hip Hop. I got to give runner up to, Fat Joe though, with a close second. He's got what not many who have braved the game have, and its not 'Swagga'. When your a grown ass man, they call it 'Demeanor'. Aight.
