Lane Davis, 33, a Trump supporter, conspiracy theorist, and YouTuber known online as Seattle4Truth has been arrested for stabbing his father after he called Lane a Nazi, the Daily Beast reports.

Lane spent the majority of his time peddling conspiracy theories online—he was a big Pizzagate advocate, for instance—as well as writing for free as political editor of the fringe blog the Ralph Retort, a site described by the Daily Beast as “even further to the right” than Breitbart. He was excited about Kid Rock’s potential run for Senate; he wondered whether CNN was “literally ISIS.”

Lane lived with his parents on Samish Island, a small community off the coast of Washington State. The murder happened on the afternoon of July 14. At first, nothing seemed unusual. Lane dove into another of his outbursts, of which apparently he had many. Although his parents usually tolerated his screams, this time they told him to leave the house. In response, Lane began chasing his parents around their home. He spat in his father’s face and screamed that he wanted to kill “pedophiles who were taking over the country.” This is when his mother, Catherine, called the police.

“He’s not physically threatening us or anything,” Catherine told the 911 dispatcher. “He just gets out of control and he’s ranting about stuff from the internet.”

The dispatcher told Catherine and Charles to keep their distance from their son. “We’re trying to but he’s chasing us around the house,” she answered. “He’s mad about something on the internet about leftist pedophiles and he thinks we’re leftist and he’s calling us pedophiles. And I don’t know what all.”

Catherine then laughed. “He just lives on the internet and he gets really worked up about everything that’s going on. He needs an intervention of some kind here.”

At some point between this call and when the police arrived, Lane became more and more enraged. His father had begun recording his outburst—as he often did, because they were so regular—and Catherine can be heard saying “Leave the knife alone.” This is around the time when Lane stabbed his father in the chest and back with a chef’s knife. Lane then walked outside and waited for the police to arrive with his hands in the air.

According to Lane’s confession, the argument with his parents started over “whether toddlers could consent to sex or not.” His father then called him a Nazi and a racist. Lane is currently held on $1 million bail and has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder. His trial is set to begin in January.

Lane had worked with Breitbart’s famous asshole Milo Yiannopoulos. In a statement to the Daily Beast, Yiannopoulos distanced himself from Lane.

“Mr. Davis was a volunteer for me for a brief period of time prior to my founding MILO Inc. I was unhappy with his work and discontinued the relationship. I then experienced his anger firsthand as he threatened me and later went to BuzzFeed making false and inaccurate accusations."

Lane Davis was a 33-year-old unemployed loser who lived with his parents and had no income to speak of. The man he murdered is the sole reason he was able to subsist at all. He had some volatile anger issues which are evident in the many YouTube streams he’s been present on. He’s also made threats and wild unfounded accusations against a lot of people over the past few years. I thought it was all in jest, but hindsight is always 20-20. Anybody who even slightly disagreed with Lane became the brunt of his verbal attacks and he would often label his detractors as “leftist pedos.”

The Ralph Retort, the alt-right blog that published Lane’s work almost daily, has also distanced itself from him. In a statement, Nora Ralph, who is running the website while its founder, Ethan Ralph, finishes an eight month jail sentence, announced she would be deleting all of Lane’s work from the website.
