Ben Carson Shares a Super Sleepy Message for All His Haters

In the dimly lit video, Carson boasts of his "millions of supporters" without slumping over and napping.

With a new video message lovingly entitled "Dear Haters," Dr. Ben Carson takes direct but characteristically lackadaisical aim at everyone who keeps telling him to, you know, just face reality and drop out of the presidential race already. The sleep-inducing clip, shared by the Independent Journal Review on Wednesday, sees the man who recently hinted at a Vice President slot in the Trump campaign delivering a series of non-answers as to his plans to salvage his campaign.

"A message to the haters is that this is America, the home of the brave," Carson tells the audience and, presumably, someone behind the camera sneaking a quick nap inspired by the ambiance. "This is what we should be thinking about. Sometimes you’re going to face opposition and sometimes you’re going to find people with whom you disagree." By Carson's estimates, all the time "haters" spend on trying to convince him to simply face the muzak would be better spent furthering the xenophobic tendencies of the Republican party.

Carson, who promises to keep the boat afloat for the time being, has repeatedly made headlines despite generally performing remarkably unwell in the polls. Super Tuesday, an abysmal day for both Carson and John Kasich, saw Donald Trump build strongly upon his platform of bigotry by securing victories in seven states. Ted Cruz, Trump's closest rival, scored victories in three other states ahead of Marco Rubio's sole coup in Minnesota.

"I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation," Carson said during an appearance on NBC's Meet the Press last September, as quoted by the LA Times. "I absolutely would not agree with that." Of course, garbage politics like that are firmly aligned with the most crucial components of Trump’s campaign. Maybe, sadly, they are indeed meant for each other.
