Remember New Year's Eve? Neither do we. But it's been over a week since everyone guzzled enough Champagne to blind a small animal, which is another way of saying it's time to get back on the wagon (Note: We inhabit a special universe where getting on the wagon means the opposite of what it means to all other humans). To the club! To party!
In that spirit, we humbly offer the 25 best nightclubs of all time.

Have you been to Tunnel or Limelight when they were in their prime?? Have you been to the original Studio 54?? I know i haven't. I agree with 54 being #1 from the history and all that, as for the same with Ministry of Sound at #3, but if you are going by that, why isnt Roxy higher? I like CBGB at #2. Seen Black Flag, Sick of It All and countless other bands there. I have no idea how you can put Marquee, that has been open for only a year, at #10 of all time?? Are you serious?? Have u even been in that cramped space they call a club??? What is the basis of this list?? Well, I have experienced a lot of those places (originally from CT, partied hard in the city and currently live in Vegas), including Roxy, Beta, Liv, Limelight, Tunnel, CBGB, Marquee, XS, The Whiskey, Webster Hall, and Space. I have had experiences at these places that does rearrange the list a little. Beta would be around 15 for having one one of the best sounding nightclubs in the country. All funktion 1....thats great....but the way they have it tuned is amazing!!! (Ministry of Sound rumored to have the loudest and best....ill find that out soon!! :) ) Limelight and Tunnel should be higher for the parties themselves. Granted they werent the best looking or the safest, but we are talking about ALL TIME. Shit started in those buildings. XS and Marquee should be up in the 20s. They are too new to be called "Best of All Time". Marquee has been open 1 year. XS produces major cash flow (#1 from Bar / Nightclub for the past 2 years) but thats what happens when you charge $21 for a Redbull and Vodka. The Copa should be higher based on history alone. If you are going to do that with 54, u should do it with Copa. The Whisky should be higher too. This is where go-go's started.....and you even stated it in the info. How many clubs now have gogo's?? ALL OF THEM. Bump Liv back and put the Whisky at #5. Berghain (Never been and no plans to), how can that even make the list?? There are so many venues just in the states that are most likely better than this place, how does it make the list?? Because you walk in on Friday night and leave on Sunday?? Trust me, Germany isnt the only place you can do that. LOL. Where is the Church (Denver, Co....sorry Beta...have to ask)???? Just wondering!!! Thanks for reading my rant. Some choices are good, dont get me wrong. But some have me here still scratching my head.

Dude, Berghain is another world. You have no clue what you're talking about, mate.

Exactly Joe Beta over The Church REALLY! Beta is a square box compared to the beauty of The Church. Surprised by this Beta has nothing on The Church!

What's this list all about? no clubs in Brazil, or any country in South America? nothing in eastern europe? you guys need to study a lil geography

What about the Shelter? Been going since the late early 90's - NYC's longest running dance party and the natural heir to Paradise garage...

What about Space Ibiza ?, officially #1 club on the planet? What about Green Valley in Brazil, best club in S.America or Cocorico in Italy. Way too many USA clubs on this list

Tootsie's is classic and all, but Robert's Western World a few doors down is much better. Back alley entrance just like Tootsie's, ALSO non smoking (the other side of Broadway has more smoking honky tonks), but it's got Rockabilly, better atmosphere, & awesome merch. All best on weekdays. Can't even move in these on weekends.

Beta is the most over-rated club of all time - so very very average..................

limelight should be in the top ten. When most clubs rise and fall within a three to five year period, Gatien is an immortalized Club Emperor God; who ran four clubs at once, and Limelight for over 17 years. This Club deserves way more respect; and so does its creator.
