Two swedes were busted while attempting to smuggle 550 lbs of butter into Norway, proving the Norwegian Butter Crisis is the real deal (look at people line up for it above). The arrests were a last ditch effort by the Norwegian government to restore some type of order, as a butter shortage in Scandinavia has birthed a black market in both Norway and Sweden. You can really get a bootleg version of anything these days, especially if the demand is strong enough.
The two men admitted to buying the butter in Sweden and cutting it into 18-ounce packets, which they were looking to move for $40 a piece in Norway. Whether its drug game or the butter game, the rules and stories are all the same.

That's absurd. Transporting goods where they are needed should be encouraged. We should be rewarding these men, not arresting them!

The free market is rewarding them. Governments, on the other hand are not accountable to logic, and therefore behave unpredictable result in a net loss for society.
