Sharks and models may be polar opposites of each other—whale sharks are big and live underwater while models are little and do their walk on land. To prove these differences marginal and to identify a common beauty in both whale sharks and models, two photographers launched a joint project for an underwater photo shoot. Shawn Heinrichs, known for his imaging of whale sharks and marine life, and Kristian Schmidt, a fashion photographer, collaborated to bring Schmidt's land models to Heinrichs' underwater gentle giants. Combined with good lighting, the resulting images are breathtaking—literally and figuratively.
