Eiza González on Latin Pop, ‘In The Grey,’ and 'I Love Boosters' | Complex News
Actress Eiza González could be a professional heister at this point, and her latest role as Sophia in Guy Ritchie’s film ‘In The Grey’ is another example of how she kills any high-stakes film she’s in. Eiza not only reunites with Guy Ritchie on this film, but also with Rosamund Pike, a coworker and friend of hers whose relationship goes all the way back to Netflix’s pandemic movie hit ‘I Care a Lot.’
Eiza opens up to Complex News’ Mami Tiff to talk about how she and Rosmaund have invisible string theory, and discusses her closest friendships in the entertainment industry, from Sofía Vergara to Eva Longoria, and how important and impactful they are to her.
Eiza also gives her flowers to other Spanish-speaking actors who came to America and took on Hollywood, like Salma Hayek, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, and more.
The two also joke about being Aquariuses as Mami Tiff and Eiza have the same exact birthday. Beyond acting, Eiza, before coming to Hollywood, was not only an actress in Mexico, her home country, but was also a Latin pop star. Eiza opens up about why she left her days as a pop star behind, but is open to possibly dropping future music, and also gives us her Latin Pop Mount Rushmore of artists.
