Music Producer David Jassy on Life In Prison and Making the San Quentin Mixtape
In 2008 David Jassy's world changed. He was involved in an altercation that resulted with the loss of life. In 2010, he was convicted of second-degree murder and received a sentence of 15 to life. After moving through various facilities, he arrived at San Quentin Prison where ciphers, long conversations about music and a recovered keyboard brought rivals together and passed the mic to the incarcerated. This is the story of the San Quentin Mixtape. The San Quentin Mixtapes Vol 1 is available on all streaming platforms now with proceeds to benefit The National Center for Victims of Crime, The Boys & Girls Club of Oakland and Potrero Hill Neighborhood House (or “The Nabe”). https://smarturl.it/sanquentinvol1
