Quavo Reveals Cardi B Will Be on Migos’ Culture 2 Album

What’s up guys, Frazier here for Complex News. As if we weren’t already hype for Migos to deliver CULTURE 2, the buzz for the upcoming album just went up thanks to a new tease Quavo tossed to TMZ. Migos only dropped their second album CULTURE, this past January, but they’ve been teasing a sequel since around June. But, with the group keeping busy all year on features with everyone from DJ Khaled to Katy Perry, as well as solo endeavors, it was anyone’s guess on when we’d actually get CULTURE 2. But today we got an unexpected new development when TMZ ran up on Migos at the airport and asked Quavo a weird question about Cardi B breaking down barriers for reality stars to rap. Quavo understandably dodged that question, but offered a consolation: Cardi B will be on Culture 2.   Of course as we all know, in addition to enjoying huge chart success, the Bodak Yellow rapper is also enjoying her relationship with Offset. The two have collaborated together already on Cardi’s first banger of the year, “Lick.” The chemistry on that record is so undeniable that it made more collabs from the two of them seem inevitable, but it’s especially exciting that she’ll be appearing alongside all 3 Migos on their hotly anticipated album. Quavo amps the hype up with “Just wait on it,” and nothing more, so there’s absolutely no telling on a timetable. The group are still slated to appear on their label Quality Control’s compilation album Control The Streets, and Quavo’s been promising a joint album with Travis Scott for what feels like eternity now. There’s also no word on sound or producers, but following an album that had singles as huge as “Bad and Boujee” and “T-Shirt,” and tracks as fire as “Call Casting,” “Get Right Witcha,” “Kelly Price” and “Out Yo Way” is a very tall order. Making the follow-up a sequel just doubles down on the expectations, which the Migos must be aware of. If any group is capable of dropping two great albums in one calendar year tho, it’s the Yung Rich Niggas. Whenever they’re ready to get the CULTURE 2 rollout going, we’ll be waiting. When that starts, you’re gonna wanna be subscribed to COmplex News to get the latest info. For Complex, I’m Frazier.
