Police have launched an investigation following reports of racist and abusive behaviour from a group of Chelsea fans after yesterday's Capital One Cup final.

According to Daily Mail reporter Mike Keegan, the Chelsea fans asked a group of Asian girls where their burkas were, sang anti-Semitic songs about Tottenham fans and took part in an exchange that led to a black man leaving the train.

British Transport Police met the train at Stoke-on-Trent and evicted the four passengers who were alleged to have made the comments.

The abuse allegedly occured after Chelsea beat Tottenham to win the Capital One Cup.

Chelsea Football Club issued a statement saying they're aware of the incident and will assist British Transport Police with their inquiries.

Last month, Chelsea suspended five fans when a black commuter was prevented from boarding a train by the West London club's fans in Paris.
