Nipsey Hussle’s Legacy, Lil Nas X Chart Drama, Taylor Bennett on Chicago Hip-Hop | Everyday Struggle

On Monday’s (April 1) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, DJ Akademiks and Wayno react to the tragic death of rapper and social activist, Nipsey Hussle who passed away on Sunday, March 31, at the age of 33. The EDS crew share with each other their personal experiences and interactions with the late rapper, and commend Nipsey for his community work and entrepreneurship. The crew then discusses the controversy around Lil Nas X’s trap-country song ‘Old Town Road’ which was  emoved from Billboard’s country chart shortly after landing at No. 19. Halfway into the episode, the trio talks about Melii’s decision to sign with Tory Lanez over Meek Mill, and her comments following the drama online. Then, towards the end of the episode, the Everyday Struggle squad is joined by Taylor Bennett to talk the current rap scene in Chicago hip-hop, and how the city’s culture impacted his career.
