Revisiting 'Watch The Throne' & Plies' Debut LP, Better Verse: Drake or Rick Ross? | Everyday Struggle

On Wednesday’s (Aug. 7)  episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks open up the show with their ‘This Week in Hip-Hop’ segment, revisiting Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘Watch The Throne’ (2011) and Plies’ debut album ‘The Real Testament’ (2007). Afterwards, the EDS trio gets into their ‘Versus/Verses’ segment, where they determine who had the better verse on ‘Gold Roses’ by Rick Ross and Drake, ‘Baby’ by Lil Baby & DaBaby and ‘Bang’ by Conway The Machine  ft. Eminem. Later in the show, the crew highlights Maryland rapper Shordie Shordie on their ‘Fast Break’ segment. Following this, the squad does their ‘Big Facts of B.S.’ segment, where they discuss Lenny S’ tweet about album listening sessions being ‘pointless.’ To close out the episode, the trio goes through some quick hits about Yung Miami’s car being targeted in a recent drive by shooting, Megan Thee Stallion’s upcoming single featuring Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign, Post Malone’s new album announcement and Westside Gunn and Benny The Butcher’s recent partnership with Roc Nation.
