Brick Squad rapper Slim Dunkin (birth name Mario Hamilton) was shot and killed back in December, 2011, during an altercation at an Atlanta recording studio, and today, his killer, Vincent Hardimon, was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Hardimon was found not guilty of murder and felony murder, but found guilty of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a handgun during the commission of a felony.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Craig Schwall referred to an incident involving Hardimon with a gun that occurred eight months prior to Dunkin's killing, and said, “I just think he’s prone to carry a gun, and he’s violent and dangerous."

Dunkin's father, Mark Hamilton, had mixed feelings about the outcome, saying, “I’m disappointed with that verdict. I don’t know what (the jury) saw. In the end, he got 25 years and we can have some closure.”

RIP Slim Dunkin.
