Waka Flocka on Artist Development, Why Rap Isn't Dangerous & Financial Literacy | Everyday Struggle

On Thursday’s (Feb. 27) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks are joined by Waka Flocka Flame. The crew and the ‘Flockavelli’ rapper start off their conversation by talking about Waka’s upcoming reality TV show with his wife  Tammy Rivera, titled ‘Waka & Tammy: What the Flocka.’ Soon after, Flocka reveals how rap saved his life and explains why he doesn’t believe rap music is dangerous. Then, the EDS crew and Flocka continue the conversation on wack rappers. Flocka also admits to the trio that he thought of himself as a wack rapper once, but says he maintained his success by being an outstanding entertainer. Soon after, Flocka elaborates on his past problems with Warner Bros, why labels need to bring back artist development and why we don’t need CEOs to create larger labels for young artists. Waka also drops some knowledge on stocks and reveals how he learned the value of money by reading and learning from people.  To close out the show, Flocka blasts podcasts, and says OGs are using the platform in the wrong way and reveals why he doesn’t hang with, or collaborate with, younger artists.
