It didn't take long for a jury to seal the fate of a Michigan man accused of swapping Air Jordans for sex with an underage teen last year.

In what will likely be the most bizarre sneaker news you'll hear today, The Daily Telegram is reporting that 29-year-old Rodney Hall has been found guilty of third-degree criminal sexual conduct for having sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl.

The victim, who is now 16, says she was visiting Detroit with Hall and other friends when they stopped and picked up a pair of $80 Air Jordans. According to the victim, Hall gifted the Jordans to her in exchange for sex.

Hall admitted to drinking alcohol and smoking weed with the teenager, but attempted to fight the sexual conduct charges, arguing that he simply bought the girl sneakers because she was in distress.

"I was trying to make her feel better, because I have a heart," Hall said. Yeah, like that's really gonna fly. We're supposed to believe a guy in his late-20s who smokes and drinks with underage girls?

Thankfully, the jury wasn't buying Hall's story, and within an hour served him a guilty verdict. Hall will be sentenced on July 17 and faces up to 15 years in prison.
