You know how it goes. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. One bad apple spoils the bunch. Whatever overused phrase floats your boat, the bottom line is, sneakerheads get a bad rap for all the wrong reasons. Sure, we have some weird habits but doesn't everyone? On second thought, maybe we shouldn't talk about your weird habits. Instead, check out 10 Sneakerhead Habits That "Normal" People Wouldn't Understand.

Stockpiling Like It's 1999

Y2K is coming! Well, not really. We actually survived. We survived the Mayan end of the world prediction, too. You wouldn't know if you asked sneakerheads, though — they stockpile the same shoes over and over again, sometimes two or three pairs at a time. People who already had multiple unworn pairs of the 2006 Military Blue IVs bought more in 2012. No, there's nothing weird about that.

Looking At Other People's Feet

Nobody understood that movie Men Who Stare At Goats, and nobody really understands when a sneakerhead is caught randomly gazing at their feet. If said, sneakerhead tried to explain that they were trying to remember if those Team Jordans were the Flight 9s or the Flight 45s, it would make things even more uncomfortable. Much like the Rex Ryan death stare seems to give us all the heebie jeebies.

Befriending Strangers on Twitter In Hopes of a Connect

You really never know who is behind that mobile device, but sneakerheads will do anything for the chance at avoiding crashing websites and long lines on release day. We can't confirm but we're pretty sure there are more than a few 'heads who have gone missing since the invention of Twitter. But they got them Js, though!

Carrying Sneaker Wipes Around

Parents just don't understand, well, maybe they sort of do. Sorry, Fresh Prince. Dudes carry sneaker wipes around to make sure they can keep the tiniest of dirt smudges from ruining their day. Parents carry baby wipes, in case their kiddos get down and dirty on the playground. DJ Khaled carries them in case anything other than the finest of rubber brake pedals from his 7 Series touches the soles of his kicks. We the best! (Sneakerheads, that is).

Fantasize About...Sneakers

Everyone can understand fantasies, but when it comes to sneakerheads, more time is spent think about those upcoming quickstrikes than anything else. Not to mention, sneakerheads have been studying shades of grey since 2001. Ladies, welcome to the bandwagon.

Watching Raptors Games Just To See What Sneakers DeMar DeRozan is Wearing

Let's face it, there is absolutely no reason for anybody to ever watch a Toronto Raptors game. So while Nick Young may wear an even better selection of sneakers, at least he plays for a decent - and eminently watchable - team in the Philadelphia 76ers. Tuning into a Raptors game is not a decision to be made lightly, and unless you're checking for DeMar's kicks, one no one has any business making.

Buying Sneakers You Have No Intention of Ever Wearing

Who does that? Come on, even comic book collectors at least flip pages a couple times. We think. But sneakerheads take it to another level. Buying shoes in sizes that aren't even their own. Maybe sneakerheads are becoming the curators of their own museums and one day everyone will look back and think... "nobody remembers the name of the curator, what in the hell am I doing?" Yeah, that's probably it. Time to sell them all on eBay!

Checking eBay On Your Phone Every 43 Seconds

Sure, anyone under the age of, well maybe we won't incriminate anyone, but damn near everybody is attached to their phone nowadays. For sneakerheads, eBay is the kryptonite of productivity and attention. With hundreds of thousands of sneakers being listed, sneakerheads typically have their eyes on more auctions than they can even count. But when they get that one unbelievable deal, those three days they've completely spaced out on (Hey guys, it's Valentine's Day tomorrow!) make it all worth it (sorry, ladies).

Walking Like A Duck

Yeah, at one point guys made fun of "chickenheads" on a regular basis. But the reality is, when a sneakerhead gets that new pair of kicks and busts them out for the first time, there are few things in life that make someone look more like a dumbass than walking without bending one's feet. But it's all in the name of looking fresh, right?
