Movie awards season is pretty much over and that means it's time for perhaps the most important ceremony for '90s kids feeling a little nostalgic: The 25th annual MTV Movie Awards. However, the diversity issue of the Oscars, Golden Globes, and Critics' Choice Awards is still carried over, so let's hope that next year we'll see more of an effort to nominate people of color.
This year, the ceremony was hosted by The Rock and Kevin Hart, following on from 2015's host Amy Schumer, who was nominated a good few times this year. Featuring much-needed categories like "Best Kiss," the MTV Movie Awards truly bring something to Hollywood the elite Academy is missing. The pre-taped ceremony will air on MTV and MTV 2 tonight (Sunday, April 10th) at 8 p.m. and the red carpet will start at 7:30 p.m.
