A new animated series from Simpsons creator Matt Groening could be headed your way very soon. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he’s developing a new comedy for Netflix but the details on the project remain scarce.
The streaming service is reportedly considering a two-season pickup consisting of 20 episodes total. If Groening’s past success is any indication, there could be even more than that. The Simpsons currently boasts 500 episodes after nearly thirty years on the air and Futurama lasted seven seasons with 124 episodes.
Futurama is currently available to stream in the U.S. on the popular service. As for The Simpsons, you’ll have to settle for renting the DVDs or catching new episodes Sunday nights at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
