As President Barack Obama prepares to leave the White House, several news programs are itching to interview him while he’s still the commander-in-chief. Talking head Bill Maher joined the crowd on Saturday with a White House petition that requests the POTUS’ appearance on his HBO show, Real Time with Bill Maher.

“We the people, especially viewers of Real Time with Bill Maher, respectfully request that President Obama appear on Real Time and thereby honor that particular audience (and their support for him), as he has so honored the viewers of so many other TV shows and media outlets,” the petition reads.

If Obama declines the offer, the petitioner asks for the White House to “please, respectfully, tell us why.”

So my request for Obama to come on Real Time crashed their website, so if u can't get on keep trying - and thanks!!https://t.co/MHxRC1wO44
