As I am not a cruel and unnerving monster like those found on the The Walking Dead, I offer the following in the name of kindness:

On Sunday's episode, fittingly titled "Thank You," former pizza boy Glenn Rhee was seemingly killed shortly after Nicholas committed suicide while staring down a profoundly large group of walkers. Fan theories immediately started positing ways Glenn could have survived, most notably that the apparent devouring of his body was actually just Nicholas being torn apart on top of Glenn, meaning he might eventually have time to escape.
As Glenn (Steven Yeun) didn't appear on Talking Dead immediately after the episode aired, a tradition for the AMC series' most notable casualties, those theories really started to gain traction. In fact, current showrunner Scott M. Gimple happily added fuel to the speculation fire by outright confirming this wouldn't be the last of Glenn. Kind of.
"In some way we will see Glenn, some version of Glenn or parts of Glenn, again," Gimple said in a statement to Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick, as quoted by CBR, "either in flashback or the current story to help complete the story." Though the phrase "parts of Glenn" is less than encouraging, Yeun's absence on Talking Dead hopefully makes Glenn's continued presence in the blockbuster series' sixth season a bit of a foregone conclusion.
