We already told you to start watching public access television, and now we have further proof of its potential virtues. Confirmed American hero Stephen Colbert took over the public access cable program Only In Monroe on Wednesday — with an appearance by notable Michigan resident Eminem. To rephrase, two titans of American pop culture were on a public access cable program in Michigan and you (most certainly?) missed it.
Thankfully, the internet still exists — and FOMO-proof digital natives the world over can enjoy all 41 minutes (see above) of this very special episode of Only In Monroe. If, for some reason, you're bafflingly opposed to the idea of forty-one straight minutes of top-shelf Colbert — then you can just point your cursor to the 22-minute mark for the Eminem interview.
Colbert and his crew reportedly stopped by local spot Larson's Bar on Monday night, though their presence was shrouded in temporary secrecy ahead of the broadcast. Of course, Colbert has been slowly reworking himself into the media fold ahead of his (surely brilliant) Late Show debut later this year.
But, hey — don't thank us. Thank Monroe, Michigan.
