A bizarre attempt at humor by Pepsi's SoBe beverage line ended up freaking people out more than making them laugh.

The company actually had to apologize after worried customers started posting photos of its bottle caps with the unsettling message "HELP ME TRAPPED IN SOBE FACTORY" to the drink's Facebook page.

Eventually, SoBe responded. They claim that nobody is trapped in their factory, and I suppose we believe them.

"Hi there, we're sorry that our cap slogan caused you concern, that was certainly not our intention," the company wrote. "These sayings are intended to give our consumers a little smile or pause for thought, not offense, while they enjoy their favorite SoBe beverage," the company wrote.

We're watching you, SoBe.

In reality, it wouldn't be the first time a factory worker hid a message in a product. A shopper discovered a hidden S.O.S. note from a Chinese forced laborer in a pair of pants last year.
