Marcia Strassman—known to a younger generation as the mom from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids—lost her seven-year battle with breast cancer over the weekend. She was 66 years old.

Strassman has appeared in a number of popular movies and TV shows through the years, breaking out on M*A*S*H as a nurse and landing a lead role on the hit 1970s sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter. She hit her peak in 1989 with the title role in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, also appearing in the sequel and Disney Land ride. Her most recent work was on the NBC series Third Watch.

Strassman also did plenty of work away from the screen, serving on the national board of the Screen Actors Guild, and was very active raising money and awareness for breast cancer research and treatment even before she was diagnosed.
