British actor Richard Attenborough has died at age 90, the BBC is reporting.
The actor's son said Attenborough died Sunday afternoon.
He was probably best known to younger generations for playing the CEO and creator of the dinosaur theme park, John Hammond, in Jurassic Park and The Lost World.
Attenborough's six-decades-long career also included roles as a POW in The Great Escape, and the film Brighton Rock. As a director, he's probably best known for Ghandi, which earned him an Academy Award for Best Director in 1983.
Attenborough had been confined to a wheelchair since taking a fall several years ago, the BBC reports.
