"Fargo" and "Orange Is the New Black" Clean Up at Critics' Choice TV Awards

Both “Fargo” and “Orange Is the New Black” won big last night at the Critics' Choice Television Awards.

Last night, the Broadcast Television Journalists Association presented their 4th Annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards, and some familiar names led the way by winning three awards each. Fargo and Orange Is the New Black tied for the most awards on the night, hammering home what we already knew: everyone seems to really like these shows, and we're going to keep hearing their names a lot.

OITNB took home the award for Best Comedy Series, Best Guest Performer in a Comedy Series (Uzo Aduba), and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (Kate Mulgrew). The show is full of so many great performances that giving just two of the actresses awards seems like not enough, but we guess it’s a start.

As for Fargo, they captured the awards for Best Mini-series, Best Actor in a Movie or Mini-Series (Billy Bob Thornton), and Best Supporting Actress in a Movie or Mini-Series (Allison Tolman). The FX show was a big hit this year, and while it’s unclear if there will be a second season, fans are clamoring for it to return.

As awards season begins to heat up, we suspect this is only the beginning of the honors bestowed upon these two powerhouse shows.
