A school in Queens was evacuated this afternoon after someone found what they thought was a grenade inside of the building.

According to the New York Daily News, the NYPD's Bomb Squad was summoned to P.S. 91 in Flushing around 12:30 p.m. today. Upon arrival, they discovered that the explosive device was actually a "novelty" grenade.

"The bomb squad was notified and confirmed that [the grenade] was not live," a Department of Education spokeswoman told the Daily News, adding that "students and staff later returned to the building."

The Daily News adds that no injuries were reported.
