Reading Rainbow may be making a return, but LeVar Burton needs your help first.
Burton is planning to develop a web-based Reading Rainbow that will be both a home version and a classroom version, the latter of which will include tools for teachers and will be subsidized to make it free for schools. The iconic host wants to raise a million dollars through Kickstarter in order to make this happen, and is offering prizes for donations. One of them includes him recording a voicemail for you, or hanging out by way of Skype (which doesn't seem that exciting, but whatever. It's for the children.) So, guys, this is your chance to give back to the childhood hero who only wanted to give you the power of reading.
