Twitch, the game-streaming network, is launching a new feature - Group Chat - making the game broadcaster even more social.
Group Chat is in beta now and allows users to create private, invite-only chat rooms that live separately from the traditional chat channel. As Group Chat launches its beta this afternoon only Twitch Partner Program members will have access but check out the video above to see how you'll be chatting in Twitch very soon.
“There’s no question Twitch chat is the social glue that brings the community together,” said Matthew DiPietro, VP of Marketing at Twitch. “You have Facebook for your life, LinkedIn for your job and Twitch for your gaming. Because of our prominent presence in the social arena, introducing Group Chat offers a compelling new way for the community to interact.”
