The Last of Us developer, Naughty Dog, has revealed the final piece of downloadable content (DLC) for the PlayStation 3 exclusive hit. Grounded will be the final DLC to round-out the Season Pass. The new DLC offers a new single-player mode that ramps-up difficulty to “near impossible” with Completely Grounded Mode.

Also featured is the Reclaimed Territories Map Pack which includes 4 new maps:

Wharf

Set in the rusted-out docks where Joel encountered Robert, the Wharf map features close quarters gameplay, two snipers nests, and a giant boat. It's full of good opportunities for climbing, flanking and stealth.

Capitol

Set in Boston, the Capitol Map features indoor and outdoor gameplay. It encourages the intelligent use of flanking.

Coal Mine

Set in Colorado, Coal Mine is a winter map that is spotted with abandoned buildings. It's a spacious map that has long lines of sight and a bridge that's a perfect perch for snipers. The dynamic snowstorm obscures the view so be on your toes.

Water Tower

Set in Lincoln, PA, the Water Tower map features two primary chokepoints for some deadly face-to-face confrontations. It's mainly an outdoor map with a few indoor areas and some very unique lighting. It might seem open but it's really a tight map that's perfect for close quarters melee.

Also featured is the Survivalist Weapon Bundle which includes the Specter, a silenced assault rifle; a Double Barrel, of the shotgun variety; the Enforcer, a highly accurate pistol; finally there is the Launcher, which is “home-made potato gun” but fires small explosive charges.

A Survivalist Skill Bundle is also available adding perks of: Agility, Awareness, Fortitude, Scavenger. Yet another bundle is included in this drop with the Professional Survival Skills Bundle that will give players automatic perks as your chosen class of: Gunslinger, Bomb Expert, Executioner and Damage Marker, which allows the player to see any enemies you've damaged.

Finally everyone will receive a free Full-Auto Rifle. Try not to shed a tear as you let go with sweet bursts of justice from this weapon as The Last of Us comes to a close. Of course the game will soon be making an appearance on the PlayStation 4 but for now these are all the toys you're going to be seeing.

The Last of Us: Grounded DLC doesn't have a release date yet but tune into the Naughty Dog Twitch channel on April 24 to see all the new weapons and maps in action.
