Two Houston women were charged for allegedly giving a toddler six shots of vodka.
According to KHOU, 17-year-old Shadreon Jefferson and 24-year-old Shamara Batiste, gave Jefferson's one-year-old daughter liquor, leaving her with alcohol poisoning last month. The duo allegedly dropped the child off at her grandmother's home one night, forcing the woman to call 911 when the little girl began vomiting violently and was unable to stand.
At the hospital, it was revealed that the child's blood alcohol content level was .268. Batiste told authorities that she gave the child some of her mixed drink, and guessed that the little girl had roughly six shots before going to bed.
The child is currently in the care of her grandmother, while Jefferson and Batiste have been charged with child endangerment.
