The Game Of Thrones writers have discussed ending the show after a seventh or eighth season, but that doesn't mean the story will be over.

George R.R. Martin, author of the books that the show is based on, recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporterand he revealed that the idea of a movie is being tossed around. "It all depends on how long the main series runs," Martin said. "Do we run for seven years? Do we run for eight? Do we run for 10? The books get bigger and bigger (in scope). It might need a feature to tie things up, something with a feature budget, like $100 million for two hours. Those dragons get real big, you know."

Martin has Tales Of Dunk And Egg—a trio of novellas that would serve as a prequel—in mind for the movie. The three stories included are: The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword, and The Mystery Knight.

Martin also added that he has dozens more stories that could do the job.

Anybody ready for a Game of Thrones movie in the future?
