Gotta catch 'em all.

In the tablet battle round that was the year 2013:

Android tablets sold 121 million units.

iPads sold 70 million.

The Android take over is officially in full-swing.

Android tablets have outsold Apple's iPad line by more than 50 million, according to numbers research firm Gartner. This is the first year Android surpassed iPads in sells numbers. These figures give Android a 61.9 percent share of the market, while iPads now have a 36 percent share. If there's one company that isn't surprised by this, it's Apple. Android devices were able to outsell iPad thanks to many of them being low-cost, which is appealing to those who don't want to spend hundreds on one of Apple's products. Yet the market share that Android now owns is something that will be hard for Apple to just brush off.
