Kevin Spacey Says "House of Cards" Is Not That Farfetched, Even All the Stuff About Murder

Explain, Kevin Spacey.

Netflix's House of Cards is a great watch, but when it comes to how realistic it is, well...anyone who's watched even one episode showcasing Frank Underwood's psychopathic nature can attest, it leans on the fiction side of things as opposed to realistic.

...well, to everyone except the actual guy who plays Frank Underwood, Kevin Spacey. In an appearance on ABC's This Week, Spacey revealed that the storylines in the series (which is based off of the 1990 BBC serial drama, as well as the 1989 Michael Dobbs novel of the same name that preceded it) "are not that crazy, they're really not." Huh?

"Some people feel that 99 percent of the show is accurate, and that the 1 percent that isn't is that you could never get an education bill passed that quickly," he joked. Fair enough, but what about all that stuff about murder? (No spoilers, but THERE'S A LOT OF MURDER IN THIS SHOW.) Well, to that, Spacey revealed something that House Majority Whip Representative Kevin McCarthy said: "He actually said recently that, 'If I could kill just one member of Congress, I'd never have to worry about another vote.'"
