Big news over at Saturday Night Live. According to Vulture, the late night comedy series has named a new Weekend Update co-anchor, who is set to take over for Seth Meyers when Meyers leaves to host Late Night in early February. So, who's the lucky comedian? None other than SNL's very own head writer (and Rashida Jones' boyfriend) Colin Jost.

As Mediaite reports, Jost has been with SNL since 2008, and has been head writer since 2012. Both Meyers and former Weekend Update anchor Tina Fey were head writers of the show at the time they began on Weekend Update as well, so the choice makes sense. He also has a very amusing Twitter account, for what it's worth.

You can check out some of Jost's stand-up below. Jost will join current co-anchor Cecily Strong at the Weekend Update desk on March 1, while Meyers' last show will take place on Feb. 1.
