Good news: After years of talk, it turns out, Louis C.K. is really serious about his 1998 directorial feature, Tomorrow Night, finally seeing the light of day. In an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno last night, C.K. brought up the film, and promised that it would be released in full on his website very, very soon—as in, next month. The announcement:
None
So, what is Tomorrow Night? In a nutshell, it was C.K.'s first directorial effort, four years before his first commercially released film, Pootie Tang. It premiered at Sundance in 1998, but failed to find a distributor, so it sat collecting dust, an urban film myth, until now. The title doesn't exactly give us much hint about the plot, though, so let's take a look at its official synopsis on Sundance:
None
One look at the trailer up above, and you'll be able to tell—"weirder" is an understatement. This trailer is downright insane. But it does feature appearances from recognizable talents like J.B. Smoove, Steve Carrell, Wanda Sykes, and Conan O'Brien.
Look out for Tomorrow Night on C.K.'s website next month.
