An "illness outbreak" aboard a cruise ship nestled in the U.S. Virgin Islands has left nearly 300 people with fun symptoms like diarrhea and vomiting.
According to the Associated Press, the Centers for Disease Control says that 281 out of the Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas 3,050 passengers have experienced bouts of both. Twenty-two members of the ship's crew have become ill, as well.
Royal Caribbean International spokeswoman Janet Diaz issued a statement today saying that the ship had since undergone "extensive cleaning." The Associated Press said that CDC officials plan to board the vessel very soon.
For the sick folks aboard the ship, this is not an experience they'll soon forget, no matter how badly they want to.
