Apple CEO Tim Cook earned $4.25 million for being at the helm of the company this past year, up a tiny fraction from the $4.22 million he was paid in 2012.

The news was published in Apple's latest financial statement filed with the SEC, which also revealed that Cook's base salary for the year was $1.4 million. The rest of his earnings came in the form of $53,000 worth of benefits and a $2.8 million bonus. In stark contrast, Cook made an incredible $378 million in 2011 after being given a million shares when he became CEO.

The company's other executives brought in an average of $2.6 million in 2013.
