It's a question as old as time at this point: Is Beetlejuice 2 ever going to happen? Well, this isn't official confirmation, but the closest thing to a straight answer we've heard—kind of. In a new interview with TMZ, Michael Keaton commented that a new Beetlejuice move may actually be happening, for real this time.

When the photographer asks whether or not the film has a green light, Keaton responds with a nod, saying, "that's what they're telling me." Good enough for us!

Unfortunately, that's just about where the good news stops. Afterwards, the photographer brings up the fact that Katy Perry has previously said that she's a fan of Beetlejuice, and asks Keaton if he would be open to co-starring with her in a sequel. "I'd do anything with Katy Perry, I love Katy Perry," Keaton responds, crushing our dreams for a promising sequel in just a few seconds. Please, producers, if this is happening, do not cast Katy Perry in this movie.

Anyway, rumors about Beetlejuice 2 have been at an all-time high recently, after The Wrap reported that Burton is in talks to direct a sequel starring Keaton. There's been no official comment yet, but it seems like, at this point, it's only a matter of time before there's some sort of announcement (probably including Johnny Depp, because it's not a Tim Burton movie without him).
