New Jersey Passes Measure Making Medical Marijuana Available to Children with Epilepsy

A big decision.

None

Yesterday, the state of New Jersey passed a mesaure making medical marijuana available to children suffering from epilepsy. There are currently 20 states where marijuana has been legalized for medicinal purposes. Of them, New Jersey has the most stringent laws: they're the only state to limit the potency of the marijuana and the list of conditions that qualify for use is the shortest.

Though the bill was originally passed in June, Gov. Chris Christie was adamant about only supporting it under the stipulation that treatment is approved by two doctors. The bill will now be sent back to state legislature for review.
