It's not too clear whether or not we should all take this as a clue that Saul Goodman won't be featured (or, gasp, won't make it) to the series finale of Breaking Bad later this month, but it's certainly worth noting, if anything: In an interview alongside David Cross on The Daily Show last night, Saul Goodman himself, Bob Odenkirk, revealed a key piece of info regarding to upcoming Breaking Bad finale. He doesn't explain what becomes of his character, but it's curious that he'd refuse to read the series finale script if he was actually meant to be in it. Unless he had only his scene sent to him to memorize—which is a common practice on some shows that spoilers are in higher demand for—it sort of seems like Saul will be bowing out (hopefully not to Belize) before the series' end.
For the record, Odenkirk and Cross appeared on The Daily Show to promote their new book of all the scripts they'd written that had been rejected in Hollywood.
As previously reported, even if Saul does go to Belize by the end of Breaking Bad, we haven't seen the last of him yet—Odenkirk is officially set to star in a Breaking Bad spinoff series, Better Call Saul, as Goodman, which will take place before he ever became Walter White's lawyer.
