The first gameplay footage from L.A. Noire creator Brandan McNamara's new game, Whore of the Orient has leaked. The leaked gameplay footage is made available by VideoGamer.com.

The footage gives us a preview of the main character and fighting mechanics in this next-gen game's open world environment set in 1936 Shanghai.

Whore of the Orient was announced in August 2012 for PC and next-gen consoles. The games takes place in Shanghai, at the time called the 'Paris of the East,' when China began to rapidly modernize due to Western influences. The game takes place in the turbulent political times of Communist suppression under Chaing Kai-shek, while focusing on an International Police Force attempting to keep the peace.

Whore of the Orient is currently without a publisher but apparently still in development, we'd love to see more footage as this title seems to have a lot of promise.
