Tom Clancy's "The Division" Offers a Complex Social Combat Environment (Video)

Ubisoft promises "revolutionary companion gaming"

Ever since E3 earlier this year we've been looking forward to news about The Division; check out the E3 announcement trailer above. The Division is an open world always-online RPG, action-shooter hybrid that takes place in a post-infection, destroyed New York City that promises a social environment that allows player to freely trade and form alliances within the world.

The Division will be powered by Ubisoft's new Snowdrop engine that promises a level of depth and connectivity that have yet been seen. They also ensure integration with smart phones and tablets using SmartGlass on the Xbox One, that with give you a bird's eye view of the battlefield allowing players the ability to aid your allies by places targets and enhancing their abilities.

Previously The Division had only been announced for next-gen consoles but after many online complaints and a circulating petition, Ubisoft is bringing the game to PC as well.

"One of the most frequently discussed topics has been that of releasing The Division on PC. With that in mind, I'm very pleased to announce that the game will be available on PC," he added. "Massive Entertainment has its roots in PC development with titles like Ground Control and World in Conflict. You can be certain that we will provide you with a first-rate PC experience."

Between The Division and Titanfall our free time for next year looks a little strained.
