Feeling neglected by his girlfriend, 23-year-old Paul Marquez came up with a devious way to get her attention—attempting to sell her baby on Craigslist for $100. The New York Post reports that Marquez left this ad under the site's "Baby and Kids" section last week:

None

Worse, someone actually contacted him regarding the offer. A law enforcement source told the Post that Marquez was upset that his girlfriend wouldn't make time for him (apparently she was "working all the time"), so he did what any rotten, needy soul would.

In addition to including pictures of the child, Marquez also posted his phone number on one of the two ads. When an interested buyer contacted him, he gave out his girlfriend's number. The potential consumer then contacted Marquez's girlfriend about buying the baby. What the fuck is wrong with people?

Thankfully, two rational people noticed the add and called the NYPD. The ads were traced back to Marquez, who was arrested last Thursday. He wanted attention and now he has it—from the law.
