From the soccer field to the silver screen? Retired soccer star David Beckham is reportedly considering a role in Matthew Vaughn's next film, The Secret Service. Set for a 2014 release, the flick is - what else? - an adaptation of a graphic novel by acclaimed writers Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons, and Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Caine are attached to star.
Apparently it was Firth who approached Beckham to come aboard and play a villain. Beckham hasn't decided yet, but clarified that if he does it will just be a one-off and not the start of an illustrious sports to blockbusters acting career.
